Pretty much every guy knows to avoid the women in their life when it’s “that time of the month.” They might not understand it all, but they do know some practical survival tips: Tread carefully. Be understanding. Know that this, too, shall pass in a few days.

It’s simple advice.

But now there’s good news! Apparently, men no longer have to be left in the dark about this very mysterious time of the month, for they can experience it for themselves! At least, that’s what the all-wise, British city council of Brighton & Hove appears to have determined. According to The Telegraph:

“School children will be taught that ‘all genders’ can have periods in new sex education lessons, in a victory for transgender rights campaigners.”

The new advice follows a council report which said: ‘Trans boys and men and non-binary people may have periods’, adding that ‘menstruation must be inclusive of all genders’.”

You should be thrilled, men. You are no longer on the outskirts, but are now included in one of the very innermost realities of being a female. Congratulations. It just goes to show that one can never tell the new discoveries that will be made and taught by the authorities that be, whether in the education system or at another level of government.

We often quote the old adage about the definition of insanity as “doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.” This is a very wise saying, but in this case, I think the legal definition of insanity is much more fitting. The first part of it reads as follows:

insanity
n. mental illness of such a severe nature that a person cannot distinguish fantasy from reality, cannot conduct her/his affairs due to psychosis….

Society seems so far removed from reality that it refuses to acknowledge simple truths. It looks the other way and praises the emperor for his new clothes, when in reality, everyone knows there are none.

When it comes down to it, there are biological differences between men and women – and that’s okay. It’s not a crime to recognize this, but doesn’t it seem like a crime to confuse little children and tell them a boldface lie about the biological realities of being a male or female?

C.S. Lewis once declared that “the trouble about trying to make yourself stupider than you really are is that you very often succeed.”

Indeed.

Perhaps it’s time we realize that the more we try to express our wisdom and cultural “wokeness,” the more we end up looking like complete fools.
