If you drive around a bit, you’ve probably seen a “Not all who Wander are Lost” bumper sticker. The phrase actually comes from this lovely poem:

All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.

The author of the poem is J.R.R. Tolkien who included it twice in The Fellowship of the Ring, part of the Lord of the Rings trilogy. The poem itself is a reference to Aragorn and his wandering until he returns as the king of Gondor. ?

Of course, you probably knew all of that already. But if you didn’t, now you do.
